Jessi Chadd

Principal , Aspyre Wealth Partners

Jessi Chadd joined Aspyre Wealth Partners as a financial planning associate right out of college. In the 15 years since then, she’s achieved several firsts at the firm: She became the first female principal at age 30. She was the first female partner at age 36.

Her professional accomplishments were the result of working at a firm that gives young staffers a lot of growth opportunities and grabbing them.

“Keep putting your hand up,” Chadd said.

That approach helped her achieve her latest career advancement. For the last year, she’s been chief wealth officer, heading a department she helped create.

She noticed that firm professionals didn’t consistently offer or enact available financial plans and services to clients.

Chadd, 37, suggested a more prominent role and cohesive structure for planning. She developed policies and processes to deliver customized financial planning to clients. The more intentional approach to planning has had a positive business impact.

“Clients are stickier,” she said. “Clients have remained loyal because of a more comprehensive service. You’re not just talking to them about their investment returns. You’re talking to them about their life.”

Chadd also leads the firm’s efforts to target clients who, like her, are under 40. It’s a group with the social media savvy to learn about investing online. She helps them from there.

“I decipher Google,” she said. “I take what you learn on Google and tell you how it applies to you. That’s where our team comes in.”
